Friends of Thetford Forest is delighted to announce an award of £1107 from the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust to purchase equipment to help with conservation and archaeology tasks. Having applied for funding in August, it is only now that we can publicise our success.
The Postcode Neighbourhood Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People's Postcode Lottery. Our grant came from money allocated to help voluntary groups in this year's challenging circumstances.

The latest FoTF Newsletter (Autumn/Winter 2020) is out now. The new look newsletter can be viewed here.

Friends of Thetford Forest (FoTF) Volunteering - High Lodge

There are a number of voluntering opportunities at High Lodge

'Meet and Greet' at High Lodge Centre

You can volunteer at High Lodge by welcoming people as they arrive at High Lodge. Your role will be to inform people of the work of Friends of Thetford Forest and answer any questions they may about Friends of Thetford Forest.

If you like meeting people and enjoy talking to them, this is the role for you!

Checking the Walking Trails

You will walk the various walking trails in and around High Lodge monitoring the condition of the walking trails so that they are safe from hazards and litter-free.

If you regularly walk a trail, perhaps with your dog, you would be ideal for this role.

Concerts

During the summer concert season at High Lodge you can assist with managing the disabled parking at High Lodge Visitor Centre.

The Monday Group

You can volunterr to help support the gardening maintenance work of adults with learning challenges who volunteer at High Lodge for two hours on Monday mornings with their carers.

If you value creating opportunities for everyone, then you will find this role very rewarding.

Friends of Thetford Forest values its volunteers and the Forestry England needs the help and support of Friends' members. For more details please email volunteering@fotf.org.uk
